How COVID-19 Has Impacted America
Did you know that the restaurant industry ended 2020 with total sales that were $240 billion below the National Restaurant Association’s pre-pandemic forecast for the year?
As of December 1, 2020, more than 110,000 eating and drinking places were closed for business temporarily, or for good. The eating and drinking place sector finished 2020 nearly 2.5 million jobs below its pre-coronavirus level.
According to the CDC, from April through October of 2020, the number of children’s visits to emergency departments for mental health related reasons was up 24% for ages 5-11 and 31% for ages 12-17 versus the same period in 2019.
